The web site U3O8.biz is currently carrying a couple of articles that refer to the price of uranium as being $95.00 per pound.

The reports appear to be predicated on a TradeTech release last Friday, so it looks like we are on the move again!

This is an interesting quote from TradeTech:

“With a US producer expected to offer another 100 thousand pounds U3O8 in a sealed-bid auction near month-end, bidding in this auction is expected to be aggressive.”

Well, well, well, we can feel another trip down Imagination Lane coming on; those directors of the fictional Gigantum Power Corporation must be feeling the heat right now.

Hang on to your uranium stocks it is starting to get very interesting.

  1. I enjoy the various articles which you have provided and would appreciate your consideration of offering them also in a printer friendly format as it would be great to be able to keep some of them in a printed form without the various accompanying details

    Many thanks,

    Gene Shannon.

  3. I enjoy the articles very much. I live near what used to be “The Uranium Capital of the World”, that is, Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada. (I live in Blind River, next to Cameco’s Uranium Refinery). I have not heard any news of exploration of any kind in this area. There is still a potential of millions of tons of ore grade material. (I’m also a former geologist from one of the operating mines). Has there been any activity here lately? All I here is unsubstantiated rumours.

  4. Pele Mountain (GEM:TSX) advertises NI43-101 compliant resources of 33 million pounds at its Elliot Lake mine. I have also read that there are a number of other companies exploring and drilling in that area, as it was a previously producing area. I don’t recall if there are any new discoveries made; it seems like it is the start-up of older mines but some research into the subject may shed light.
