RPT Uranium Corp: Buy

Despite the carnage on Uranium Street we must stay alert for buying opportunities and make good use of down turns in the uranium sector. Those of you who are regular readers will know that we sold RPT Uranium for a good profit and have been waiting patiently for an opportunity to re-invest in this uranium exploration company. Today is such a time so we moved and acquired RPT for around $0.51 per share on the Toronto Venture Exchange.

Just to recap the following is a chart that we published recently showing RPT’s stock price heading south towards the 200dma.

Recent chart:
RPT Uranium previous chart

We could have entered the market then, but decided to wait for some sign that a reversal of that down trend was underway. We may still be a little early and indeed RPT could fall further, however it looks to us that the lion’s share of this stocks correction is now behind us. The stock has fallen from $0.75 to $0.45 for a loss of 40%. As we can now see from the chart below a new upward move looks to have commenced.

RPT Uranium Chart 30 July 07
The stock price appears to have bounced close to the 200dma, the stockastics have turned north, the MACD appears to have flattened and the RSI has also turned upwards. The volume is also good with the average being around 483,000 shares traded per day over the last ten days.

In a recent news release the company have announced that they will commence an additional 10,000-metre diamond-drilling program in the Split Rapids area of its Sibley basin uranium property northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. RPT Uranium had previously reported “Highlights of previous drilling at Split Rapids include 1.50 metres of 2.99% U3O8 (hole BS05-30), 0.72 metres of 4.68% U3O8 (hole BSE07-03) and 6.35 metres of 0.222% U3O8 (hole BSE07-31).” This makes sense as the drilling at Wolfpup Lake, lies under lake and swamp and is planned to take place next winter.

Happy Hunting.

And the slide of RPT continues. Unbelievable with oil reaching records levels. Hope this change soon in advantage of Rampart.

Rampart is out of business. Is your TA still valid?

August 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

Rampart is trading today so we don't understand your comment, can you please explain?

August 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterUranium Stocks

Sorry, please ignore my comment. Better is to delete it. Just very disappointed to be honest (big % loss on RPT.V). Again my deep apologize.

August 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

I really consider your TA to review again. Maybe you meant to give a sell signal?

August 16, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

Hey MyKel they expressed a point of view which you are entitled to disagree with (you seem to do so continually). Instead of posting unneccesary unpleasant comments why not post some of your views and let others snipe at you...........

August 16, 2007 | Unregistered Commenterbob

Alright Bob. Here comes my view:
Short sell Rampart till the low of 0,22 CAD (this is the one years low). After that you could reverse your position and thus go long. None of this is based on TA, but on market experience. if all the signs are pointing to the right, just walk to the left. Let's see how this works out.
Good luck & happy trading

August 16, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

That was easy wasn't it - I don't disagree with you at all.....I think the guys here do a great job and they have the cojones to tell all what they think and what they do....Bonne chance to you too

August 16, 2007 | Unregistered Commenterbob

Good luck with the short we really hope that it pays for you. However it’s not for us, when a stock has fallen some 60% then we have to consider the possibility of a rebound. We will continue to watch for some stabilisation and the opportunity to do some bottom fishing.

RPT has opened well up 9.8%

This peice of recent news may have helped:

Dr. Hikmet Akin, president of RPT Uranium Corp. October 14, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

impossible while their cash will be burnt in 2 years!!
guess they need revuenes much sooner
who can wait that long.
lets see this winter

October 14, 2007 | Unregistered Commenter2017

That's where emissions for. It is really true. U stocks are for the long term. It is no joke. About 10 years is not as long as many think. You have to think long term and ignore the noise. Buy on dips, it's a bless.

October 15, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

Just received new info from RPT.
Uranium mineralization is exposed over a 35 metre by 25 metre area, and the first eight grab samples to be analysed averaged 0.242% U3O8.
Any U experts here? 0.242% U3O8 to looks not a very high level of radioactivity to me.
Hope I'm wrong. Anyone can explain this level to me?

October 17, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMyKel

Great change that RPT today has bottomed. The ATL (all time low) 0,22 has been touched
Good luck 2 everybody

October 23, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMykel

said this a few minutes ago:

RPT Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: RPT remained relatively unchanged on heavy volume, despite their recent announcement last week that the Company has commenced a 2500-metre diamond drilling program on the Frazer Creek uranium zone on its Malborne Lake claim block near the south-eastern margin of the Sibley basin north of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

October 23, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterUranium Stocks

RPT closed at the LOD (0,24). Not a strong sign.
May a new test on 0,22

October 24, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMykel

RPT is in the "never see the CAD 0,22 again" mood.
